More Questions about Invisalign®
Northern Virginia, including Arlington, Tysons Corner, Alexandria, Fairfax, and McLean, Virginia
What problems can Invisalign® fix?
Like traditional braces, Invisalign® can be used to correct common orthodontic problems such as overbite, underbite, uneven spacing, gaps, and crooked and crowded teeth.
Is Invisalign® painful?
To straighten your smile, the Invisalign® system must gradually move your teeth. When your teeth move, some mild discomfort can be expected. Because Invisalign® moves your teeth gently over the course of several months; this pain should not be intense and should subside within the first few days of every aligner change. Our Virginia Invisalign® dentists will work with you to help ensure maximum comfort and safety during your Invisalign® treatment.
Are Invisalign® braces completely invisible?
Invisalign® clear braces are made out of a clear medical grade plastic that is nearly invisible. When you have your aligners in, they will be difficult, but not impossible for people to see. Still, Invisalign® aligners are much less conspicuous than traditional metal braces. In addition, Invisalign® aligners are removable and can be taken out for situations where you don’t want anyone to see them.
What are the advantages of Invisalign®?
When compared to metal braces, Invisalign® has several advantages. They offer superior comfort, and reduced instances of complications like tooth shortening. Invisalign® is removable, making tasks like chewing and teeth cleaning substantially easier. Invisalign® is a much more aesthetically appealing orthodontic treatment than braces. In addition, Invisalign® offers a straight, beautiful smile in about half the time as traditional braces.
